"A thorough knowledge of the Bible is worth more than a college education."

When you purchase a complicated piece of technology, it comes with an operator's manual. This manual contains everything you need to get the most out of your new purchase and not ruin it. Now, you can ignore the manual and do what you think is best; but, the wise choice is usually to follow the instructions of those who designed and built the valuable item.
Such is the Bible.
Such is the Bible.
The Bible is the single, best way to truly get to know God (John 1:14,18).
The Bible can set you free (John 8:31-32).
The Bible can give you hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
The Bible is from God (not men) and is useful to us (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
The Bible is not only relevant today, it is alive (Hebrews 4:12)!
The Bible can help us be better spouses, parents, friends, and more (Romans 12:2)!
The Bible is the standard by which we will ultimately be judged (John 12:48).
The Bible truly holds the answers to everything we need (2 Peter 1:3)!

God's plan, however, has never been for people to find and walk with Him alone. He designed us to need each other.
Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. "Do you understand what you are reading?" Philip asked.
"How can I," he said, "unless someone explains it to me?" So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him....
Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.
- Acts 8:30-31,35
This is a perfect example of God's plan. One man, a very important (busy) man in fact (see vs. 27), wanted to know God for himself. He both (1) made the time to seek God and (2) was willing to admit he needed help. God sent him another man, just a simple man willing to share what he himself had been taught.

Ultimately, it's all about you and your personal relationship with the one, true, living God who created you and simply wants a relationship with you!
